Long skateboarding in South Beach
I didn't know how to spend store credit I've recieved as a birthday present on August 7th. (Quik-Silver store).
I didn'T know what to buy, ridiculusly expesive $60 swimming shorts or $50 t-shirts. I had to buy bunch of them with this store credit. Then I saw the skateboard displays... I said to myself "wow... that's it... I'm getting a long board... and it's my final decision..."
I've started snowboarding when I was 15, 16 years old when I met my life long true friend Yusuf. I have not snowboarded for the last 4 years... I haven't wakeboarded either so I said "what the heck, I'll satisfy by boarding craving with a long baord."

I've skateboarded before but not intensively. Plus I've never had a long board experience before.
I was actually looking for a board with alot of grafiti; maybe some Hawaiian jasmine figures etc... something colorfull... but they were all very sharp tip and the front wheels were placed off the deck. Well, I didn't know how to choose so I liked this one and bought it, I had little hard time riding back home from the store thru Ocean Drive to the board walk then to Collins avenue.. then I arrive home and I felt the same muscles that used to hurt when I snowboarded...
I made a search on Google to find a review of this long-board. All I've read was "longest board you can find in the market.... very tough to ride..... it takes more than just leaning to change directions, you have to change the position of your feet as well..." oouuuchhh.. :-S
Well it has been over 1 month now and I'm fully adopted the way this board rides... I'm loving it... it's one of the best feelings in the world after snowboarding...
So far no accidents, no incidents, just fun and the feeling...
Here is the short video me, getting used to this longboard.
