My First Tattoo
I have finally decided what to get on my very first tattoo. I've always wanted to have bunch of tattoos but, it was impossible for me to decide what to get.
I needed something unique, something creative, something is me... About a month ago, I was talking a buddy of mine who mentioned about an ancient Turkic language. Then one day I made my reserach on Gokturk alphabet which is the very first official written language of Turks. During my research on the internet, I had problems matching up the information. On one website a word is written different than the other one.
So I started to ask my friends and family if they knew anybody who'd know ancient Turkic alpahbet, Orkun.
My oldest brother made some sarcastic comments like "just write it and get your tattoo! Are you worried about a Gokturk might come along and tells you that you wrote it wrong :-) " Well it's impossible, because this alphabet has not been used about a thousand years.
Then I recieved a reply to one of my posts on a Turan Group, giving me some websites who had accurate info on the alphabet and grammar rules.
The more I read, more I realised that Turkish I speak is pretty well preserved although we have many foreign words (mainly French, Arabic, Persian, Greek etc).
Anyways, making the long story short I've got my tattoo finally. It didn't hurt as much as I expected. ...
to be continued...
