Besides porn, these movies are my favorite!
I have never been into renting movies that much, but I'll go to them. Last week I started going to the foreign section alot to help with the Turkish, French and German practice. Turns out I'm a movie addict right now and
This month.....
-----------------I've watched-------------
Bangkok Dangerous
It was about the Sad Reality of the Unfortunate and the Ones who will never have another chance, so close yet too late.
Mona Lisa Smiles
I don't know what the heck was this about? I fell asleep!
Turkish Bath
Haha...this one had some Turkish for sure, pretty much Italian. It was about restoring and discovering his culture and sexuality.
Happenstance
First movie to make me gasp because of the unexpected frontal nudity. From the guy. How sweet was Audrey Tatou, I would do this girl if I had the chance, nah probably not she's so sweet I would just want to look at her all day. Anyway it was a very cute movie on how things happen for a reason and how every decision we make really makes a difference for us and others. One choice can depend on your decision and what someone else does as well. It was so cute!
Amelie
Excellent. Must See. We think alike. At this moment I wonder how many people are looking at the Moon.....Drinking Pinot Grecio, having sex, cheating, taking a shit. See we think alike. Great movie, once again with Audrey Tatou..I don't care how the *bleep* it's spelled. Everyone should know her.
Dirty Pretty Things
Audrey is again in this movie. She plays Turkish woman and wow did she have her dancing and accent down. Anyway she was working in a Hotel in London illegally with other immigrants. The guy who is the main character, Koy realizes that horrific things are being done in that hotel. The things people will do what it takes like selling their parts tot he black market to get papers for fake passports or a chance to make a living in a country legally. She survives the only way she knows and does what she has to realizing she wants to come to America in the end where there is more opportunity. But what does she have to sacrifice?
Beyond Borders
Angelina Jolie amazed me, first her eyebrows looked like Charlie Chaplin, then not, then hot, then not then hot then not. She probably started wanting to go to Southeast Asia to get a house in Cambodia and 10 tats in Thailand more because of this movie where the man she falls for goes through lengths to correct corrupt governments both in the third world countries and in the U.S. whom fundraise for the programs to feed yet spend more money wining and dining then helping the less fortunate. I didn't really pay attention. It was sad in the beginning with the little African boy(s) though.
Amores Perros
Wow...talk about hot boy. Reminded me of my Love. Gael Garcia Bernal whom played Octavio was *bleep*ing hot!@ 3 families tragedies cross each other in a crash. It's about facing change and embracing it.
Y Tu Mama Tambien
Wow guess who's in it again? Gael!!!!! as Julio. *bleep*ing hot, hot movie. I loved it so *bleep*ing much. Why do I keep saying *bleep*ing? I don't know maybe it's a *bleep*ing hint!? It's about being carefree and confident. And again facing change and embracing it but also remembering those that we've met in our lives that have truly changed us forever for the better whether we dare to admit or not. It also makes you remember that life is short and that Gael has a nice dick haaaaah! This guy is so impressive as an actor and as the perfect chizzleness features.
Love Actually
Awww it's a light hearted movie with Hugh Grant and the possibility of being with a person in high government in London . Can you picture yourself with Tony Blair? Yuck! But Hugh made it not a bad idea to maybe run into him as an intern in the English Parliament. Date movie.
Run Lola Run
German was the purpose of renting this movie but it was good. I like the originality of how the writer wanted you to see different choices and different chain reactions once again. Es ist eine sehr gut film! Very good film
Napoleon Dynamite
All I can say is, hahahaha...........haha, ha .., aaaaahahha, hahaha, heeh.......haha, hahahahahaah, halirious..hilarious!
8 Women
Funny seeing old women kissing and that Natalie Portman Lookalike. What's her name the girl from the beach that kissed Leo. Yeah that girl she's in it so it's 8 women, including a fione ass maid, some old woman, and a younger girl who all try to find the killer of Marcel (the man of the house). It's in French, I loved listening to them speak and the songs. Some songs...spontaneously start up like they're on crack but the plot thickens then withers, it was different.
I Heart Huckabee's
Okay I just wanted to add this one but I lied, I didn't see it this month. I saw it in the end of the year on the plane from German to Austria. Or was it Austria to England? It just makes me think of Ben because he wanted to watch it together. I miss Ben. I wish I didn't break his heart, or at least disappoint him....because I just wasn't into him. He was too demanding at times. Oh well I forgot what the movie was about. Gotta rent it next time.
Suicide Club
Whoa there's a Davide Bowie look-a-like and he's Japanese! Crazy flick, crazy, you'd think you were on something. Not scary but abstract as hell. Japanese are abstract thinking creatures!! Good stuff.
Motorcycle Diaries (El Che)
GGB, was in it again of course! You don't know what that acronym stands for yet? Gael GArcia Bernal!!!! How many times do I have to tell yoU? My *bleep*ing favorite actor! Get it tattoed to your head.
With the different countries they have to go through they have to "embrace change." He played an Argentinian medical student that goes on a trip with his friend starting in Argentina on a motorcycle (with the most valuable thing his diary and experience), to Chile and Peru and they encounter many indigenous peoples.
This makes him want to start a revolution. He also discovers the reality of how the Spanish took away the culture of the Great Incas. He becomes nostalgic of Macchu Pichu (I'll check spelling later) Learns from a boy with an "old soul" who becomes their guide that the Spanish movied the old capital to Lima . Practically raped of their true culture and native tongues before Spanish came to be. This timeset was in 1952, it speaks of Love not just with Man and Woman but Man and Man as in Human. Go watch it if you're so interested. It's a good one trust me.
As it goes it turned out that my man played Fuser aka Che...che gueverra a person with the"capacity to provoke empathy. This movie was about two lives running parallel for awhile 5, 000 miles in 4 months, with two men exploring their continent. They had the method of improvisation. (I'll check spelling again smart asses, okay back to the plot) The deeper they went, the more they felt the world changing...or maybe it was them." You find out!
And say to my friend Gael! ahhhh
Monster
Wow this one was deep, sick and so so sad. How Someone's last hope of one more chance for love can make someone do anything. Even....*()$..*..$() just watch it. Selby is a complete bitch I hate that bitch. So sad...
Bend it Like Beckham
Cool Indian dresses in this one and funny scenes. That pretty Brit girl's in it..I thought she was in the Phantom of the Opera the movie too but now I've realized it's the wrong girl. Oops. Beckham shows up for like 3 seconds and we don't even get a good shot of him. Cool comparison of happiness for different sisters.
Mean Girls
Lindsay Lohan was hot in the movie. I liked it, kinda, it was alright okay now i'm embarassed I said I liked it. Well anyway just watch it, if you want. Sorry she doesn't get naked guys you can just save your $3.99... ha, i knew you were wondering ;)
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Everyone's gotta learn sometime the soundtrack goes but isn't it funny when someone you knew so well becomes a stranger to you. This is a well jigsawed movie. The parts are all scattered but come together. Sweet, Sad, Confusing, Depressing and Funny, just like how our Memories can be.
Terminal
This is such a clever movie. I didn't want to watch it but my friend tricked me into watching it because He!!! Corey aka Skittles because he looks like Eminem M&M but he's not quite said GGB would be in It!
This is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO CLEVER. wow. 5 stars! Tom Hanks does a great accent job and makes u want to cry, laugh, and pat him on the back. heheh thanks Skit...!!!!
El Crimen del Padre Amaro
Taboo but shallow plot line...even tho my Baby GGB plays the priest....it's just that. I love him but if he wasn't in this movie I'd give it a C.
Eat Drink Man Woman
Great use of sight sounds and images to compensate for the sense of smell that cannot be actually be smelled as the main character cooks. Cooking, Memories, and many Conversations are brought together with this film by Food. I loved the Movie, I had to watch it twice because I fell asleep the first time.
I'm with Lucy
Ahhh again why am I watching some of these films? It's because of GGB! My baby Gael Garcia Bernal in this movie had a European Mullet. Quite enticing because he wears every style well. I love it. The movie was quite simple yet touching and such a date movie. The girl playing Lucy is quite cute too. Love you Gael!
------I am watching right now----
Gia - Wow Angelina nice tits. Maddox is a lucky child. So is Sahara
Seabiscuit - I fell asleep I’m sorry, it’s supposed to be good I heard
Bad Education- Wow Gael Garcia Bernal takes acting to the extreme. Either he’s bisexual, gay or a really great straight actor because he is beautiful as a cross dresser and gay man in this movie. It shows so much it can also be in the other section described as: very colorful porn, with a super plot.
Vanity Affair - I think I should have just paid attention because Phantom of the Opera was 300x better than this movie.
In This World - It’s in the foreign film section. It’s a movie that I looked at and said right away, “hell no” to taking it home. Then I wanted to practice my new philosophy of “Lovanti”. I just made that up now! See how? Love + Anti = Lovanti. The practice and belief of going for what you usually wouldn’t usually like to give yourself the chance to open your mind even more and then maybe loving it.
I’m glad I forced myself to take the movie home. This is the best movie I have seen in a long time and without Lovanti I would have never known.
--------------I am going to Watch------------------
Tom Yum Goong
Ong-Bak
Saw
Lord of the Rings (all 3)
I still love BIG FISH THE MOST which is not on the list!...y Tu Mama Tambien...hehe and AMELIE
well... for the most part the Sound of Music.
I'll probably end up living in Austria for awhile just like the family in that movie by the end of this year. Pues, maybe because I'm spontaneous as heck, you know this, if you know me.
