Thanksgiving and Weight Watching

Thanksgiving is all about sharing and tasting a variety of platters. If you're trying to keep the calories off, here's an easy way to cut some calories. Enjoy the turkey without the skin. It's also better if you stay away from dark meat, it has double the fat from white meat.
Don't be strict on this holiday, just have small portions of what you crave and it will satisfy you. Instead of trying to ignore the apple pie, have some. Don't exagerate, but once you have a small portion, you will not be craving it anymore. Take a walk after dinner or simply wake up the next morning and work out. There's no reason to set limits on Thanksgiving. Be moderate and balance out your choices. In the end, you will be happy because you didn't set a strict diet on a holiday that occurs once a year. Learning to balance different choices of food will make you understand that what you thought was off-limits can still be enjoyed. Keep it small and work out! Did i mention walking is also a great way to cut off some calories. Finish off the walk with a nice glass of water.
