Can Chocolate Kill Your Dog?
Chocolate can cause harm to your dog. Although you might be a chocolate lover, like me, it's best if you keep it away from your pet dog. It also depends on the dog size and the amount of chocolate the dog eats. However, chocolate has an ingredient called theobromine, which is
poisonous to dogs. Small amounts can cause vomiting, diarreah, muscle tremors, restlessness, and increased heart rate. Larger doses can be fatal to your pet dog. Theobromine can also be in other types of sweets such as cakes and cookies, but the amount be less than in a chocolate bar.
Try to avoid giving chocolates to dogs, there are plenty of other treats that are meant for dogs to eat. I almost gave my dog Rocky a tiny piece of chocolate, and someone told me that it wasn't a good idea, apparently with these facts it's not. If your dog accidentally eats chocolate, you should consult the situation with your vet.
