I vote Mariah for Grammy.
The Grammy nominations are in....all, 108 of them! I had no idea there were that many categories, okay. Best Boxed Or Special Limited Edition Package, what? Brilliant category, if you ask me. Ha! So, of course, Mariah Carey is going to take home a couple awards....a few...if not all. I'm thinking more than two and less than eight. Lil' Ms.Glitter...her career was going downhill...we all poked at her...made fun of her...and watched as she stumbled to the ground...slowly but surely...her career was sinking....deeper than the Titanic. Who would've thought that she would've come back, and blown us away, with what probably is her best record to date. Not I said the little mouse. Okay, okay, you get the point. It's impressive, though, truly.

What is Gwen Stefani doing up there? How did that happen? I really don't wanna bash the girl (because i am a No Doubt fan and have been for years) but truth be told, that album is by far the worst I've heard in years. Fun, to bounce around a club, and sing along to 'cause i aint no hollaback gurrrrrrrl', or...'b-a-n-a-n-a-s!' I'm sure every teenybopper cheerleader loves that one, huh. But that's that, folks. It doesn't take a genius to put together an album like...lyrics like that...and beats like that? Yeah, I'm not impressed with the Neptunes or any other producers of the album, sorry. No, the collaberations did not help, whatsoever. The album still blows and I still want Gwen to desperately get back to No Doubt and stay there, puhhhlease... no matter how much that band itself is slowly sucking more each year. Kudos to her for taking an extreme leap and venturing out towards a new direction....scratch that out and gimme my kudos back, okay, thanks. So, I'm all over Kanye West and Mariah Carey for the album of the year.
Let's hope Kanye West won't pout and shout if he doesn't win this year, right. Be a man, Kanye! Suck it up and be-a-man. Or perhaps u2 will win album of the year...maybe. I'm not too big on u2, so I'm not really cheering them on. Is that odd? Oh well. I honestly think this has been Mariah Careys year and if she takes them all home- I'll be pleased.
Note to reader:
The Arcade Fire is nominated for Best Alternative Music Album. This Canadian indie-rock band is my personal new favorite artist. I just got turned onto them this year and I'm still blasting that album every chance I get. In other words, buy the album, asap! You're missing out, fool. It's a fantabulous record!
P.S. Let us celebrate, Fiona Apple actually got nominated for something. Best Pop Vocal Album, better go to her...or I'll be pulling a Kanye West and telling all yall how I shoulda won and how you made a mistake. w0rd.
