I bet you care about yourself. If you didn't you'd be just another passerby not doing a damn thing. I have been noticing a few things that has escalated in the last 5 years in the World.
A trucker has noticed more armadillos moving north, a gardner noticed her plant the Japanese Anemoni still blooming in July. These are observations of abnormal climate changes. Things I have noticed riding train are that there are much more cars on the road, resulting to more pollution, guzzeling unneccessary gas. There hotter summers, colder winters. What's the problem here? You guessed it, "Global Warming."
I'm not here to be another Al Gore. I'm here to emphasize that our generation has alot to do with the direction and rate of this epidemic. Our children's children might blame us one day and guess what it will be too late.
Just Imagine This: If the ice off of Greenland and Antartica melted, 60 feet of sea level would rise around the world which means 1 billion of the population would be moving closer inland
Remember Katrina? When people were displaced out of their homes? Okay that was 100, 000 people. Imagine 100 million being displaced.
Lost Cities like Florida, London, and countries like Belgium and Bangladesh would become lost cities. There is not enough money to build 20 meter walls around Florida or England. And do you even think they would anyway with the beautiful beach? They wouldn't have enough time.
Cover Ups Already Have Begun. Remember in the 1970s and 80s when Tobacco companies denied that smoking was a hazard to your health? Unethical doctors sold out and would speak on behalf of these tobacco companies lying with a straight face and misusing their credentials and publics trust to say it was okay to smoke. Now we know it was all a big lie. I mean, how many people have had to die of lung cancer before they realized, "shit, it is addictive and damn, it is bad for your health." Remember the only cover ups will be faithfully from coal and gas companies.
How? You can help by communicating it to others, reminding them that cars that guzzle 20 miles to the gallon is contributing to this sad reality. Use public transportation. Buy smaller cars, in Europe they have begun. We need to be a leader in this way. BUSH and the others that puppet him around need to stop the war that's causing even more pollution everyday. How long is it going to take for you to realize that we need to fix this this minute. Not tomorrow, this minute
If you're someone famous and reading this you should repost this. How many more forest fires, Katrinas, Ernestos, have to happen before we take action? All of you celebrities that want to go down in history should especially make this a big deal, otherwise in 50 years, we could all be "Burning in Hell on Earth and No One will care who you were.
The Biggest Way to Email/Hand Write your local schools and tell them to show their students the tape on the LAST DAYS ON EARTH. They will be able to find it on abcnews.com or youtube.com
If not that then, they need to make a course/part of the curriculum. This is not Generation X anymore, it's Generation Y. And if we don't do anything it will become Generation Y Didn't We Do Shit.
