Open Minds Saves Lives! Don't Just Trust the FDA
This is a summary of emails sent with different perspectives but one real truth. I forwarded the message below to friends who might find this beneficial. Then I received a response from an old friend from elementary school way back in 1988, who I really respect because in 3rd grade.
She was one of the smartest people I knew. Presently, she works at a health center in Chicago and is sure about birth control. Condoms to me are a better option and possibly the regular birth control but I won’t even go that route because of the high estrogen and rates of breast cancer associated to the women who use it.
When you think this is already a cause for concern, consider the harmful side effects that can come in a birth control that condenses all of a woman’s cycles from 12 times a year to 3 times a year! How extreme of a birth control are they going to produce in the future? Nature has the best timing and escalating the processes is a sure sign of laziness and severe repercussions that are bound to happen. It is a bit too extreme. Here are our emails from Start to Finish. Please choose wisely for an effective contraception. I am aware that condoms are not 100% but they don’t cause blood clots!
The medical world is filled with different cases but knowledge is power. You have the power to pass this message along to both men and women you know may need to know. Being greedy because you’re so sure never got anyone anywhere. Open minds save lives!

Ladies, please do your research first if you choose to use birth control. Just because the FDA approves something does not mean it can't kill you. Please read the story below...this is not the first instance I've heard of...
Recently this past week, my cousin Nicole Dishuk (age 31...new grad student with a doctoral degree about to start her new career as a Doctor...) was flown into a nearby hospital, (She lives in Penn. ) because she passed out.
They found a blood clot in her neck, and immediately took her by helicopter to the ER to operate. By the time they removed the right half of her skull to relieve the pressure on her brain, the clot had spread to her brain causing severe damage.
Since last Wednesday night, she was battling… they induced her into a coma to stop the blood flow, They operated 3 times...
Finally, they said there was nothing left that they could do.. they found multiple clots in the left side of her brain.. the swelling wouldn't stop, and she was on life support...
She died at 4:30 yesterday. She leaves behind a husband, and a 2 yr old Brandon and a 4 yr old Justin.. The CAUSE of DEATH - they found was a birth control she was taking that allows you to only have your period 3 X's a year...
They said it interrupts life's menstrual cycle, and although it is FDA approved... shouldn't be - So to the women in my address book - I ask you to boycott this product & deal with your rag once a month - so you can live the rest of the YEARS that your life has in store for you.
* Please send this to every woman you know - you may save someone's life... Remember, you have a CYCLE for a reason!

Women are not prescribed birth control pills if they have history of blood clots in their medical history so although this incident was tragic, it's important to know that birth control is effective for most healthy women and they should continue taking it if they are not using other forms of contraception.
Thanks for this note, Anne. I hope you pass my note on.

Actually MW,
Young girls have no way of having a history of blood clots so unsuspecting teens can get blood clots at any time. There are also side effects of taking birth control as many cases cause breast cancer. My grandmother who is a retired RN, and my aunt now both rather I use condoms with my partner than ingest pills.
I think we have to be mindful that this article was sent to show the side effects of a case and remember, tThey are specifically talking about the birth control that gives females only "three" menstrual periods per year. This seems to be the extreme birth control pill. Not the one that has been around for a long time. There are many forms. Medical sciences shift and change their opinions frequently every year. One year red wine is good, one year it's not good, based on studies and further studies. All doctors do not even agree. Cases like this show concern for further study.
I hope you pass this on to everyone you know in health. Stand up to them and do not believe everything your peers or superiors say. Even the FDA should not bully or persuade anyone to take more medicine because they say it's good. It's also a business.
Question, Study and Question again....never believe in just someone because they have a certification.
Take Care,
Anne
